The Alchemy Press has published seven books, including the award-winning Where the Bodies are Buried by Kim Newman and Rumours of the Marvellous by Peter Atkins, short-listed for the BFS Best Collection Award. The Alchemy Press has published both mass-market paperbacks (at A5 format) and signed, limited, hard-cover editions. At the end of 2011 we published Rumours of the Marvellous by Peter Atkins, signed by the author, Glen Hirshberg (introduction) and Les Edwards (cover artist).
It is clear to see that we take pride in producing attractive, well-presented publications. We work hard to get the layouts right, to ensure that typos are eliminated.
We now offer our book-designing expertise to small press publishers and authors aiming to self-publish.
Prices will vary depending on the type of publication, length of manuscript, number of illustrations -- and if line-editing is required to bring the publication up to standard. We are very reasonable with our prices.
